ABOUT ORBA
The Ohio Rural Broadband Association, Inc. (ORBA) is an industry trade association of independent phone companies and competitive local exchange companies, working together, sharing knowledge and commonalities to promote and serve rural areas in Ohio with the most modern telecommunications services available.
ORBA member companies are small businesses that provide telephone, video services and broadband Internet, fixed wireless services and fiber optics to rural customers in Ohio. The members play a critical role in Ohio’s economy having invested millions in keeping up with customer demands by provisioning the latest technologies in order to maintain a state-of-the-art broadband network for rural Ohioans.
These small companies continue to expand into new markets and diversify their service offerings. They have been aggressive in deploying broadband and have achieved 99% broadband coverage. Their networks include more than 10,000 miles of fiber optic cable.
Mission Statement
To advocate and promote the common interests of Ohio’s small rural telecommunications and broadband companies in delivering advanced services that improve the quality of life in the rural communities served.
